Lab: Speed of Sound in Air
Here are some tips/reminders that were on the board:
If you missed this lab, there is a way to do it online. This simulator is the best I could find because it explains the lab and most closely emulates the physical process involved: http://physics.bu.edu/~duffy/HTML5/speed_of_sound.html
The only problem is that it only has 3 available frequencies, and we need at least 6 for a graph, preferably 8. Go ahead and...ugh, I have trouble even typing this...go ahead and make your graph with those three data points. When you turn in the lab, write at the top that you used the online simulator.
You also received a practice test for your test on Thursday:
Sound and Standing Waves Practice Test
Here is the key: KEY
Here are the Plickers problems from last week:
Sound Intro
Doppler Effect
Wednesday will be a work day.
